Quantum's scanning application has a versatile architecture and screens that allow users to scan any "item" to any "location" or visa versa. Items can be boxes, pieces, pallets, or trucks, etc.. Locations can be pallets, floor space, bins, trucks, docks, conveyors, etc. Specific business rules are set for each installation to define the scans that are allowed . Thus, the scanning application can be easily customized to meet the specific needs of B2C retailer and e-tailers, and also of B2B distributors.

The application has just two main scanning screens and a total of seven screens, making it easy to learn and to use.
